New Social Area

A great place to relax, refuel and restore your energy!

Bolton St Catherine’s has a brand new, fully equipped social area. It has leather couches,  really comfy chairs and even has flat screen televisions. It’s just a place to chill out, relax and get away from the teachers! (Which we all need from time to time).

Even the teachers like the social area, we asked some Year 7’s what they though of it. Rhianne Pritchard, year 7, said “I think that it’s a very nice place to chill and have a good time.”

Some students commented on how crowded it can get sometimes, but they still enjoy the vibe and appreciate somewhere really relaxing.

We Interviewed Miss Wells, who is on duty in the social area three times a week. “The Social Area gives a great opportunity for students at Bolton St Catherine’s Academy to mix with people from other forms”

Leading scientists and educational research has shown that by providing students with a stimulating and enriched learning environment will allow them to feel more confident and relaxed in their learning.

Bolton St Catherine’s Academy is due to get a re-build next year, teachers and building experts are meeting to discuss how the building will look and how the classrooms will be organised. The future developments of Bolton St Catherine’s Academy sound really exciting.
